The option for clear on one side means there will be no patches or holes on one side. The back side may or may not have patches or small holes. Color variations, dark lines (mineral streaks), and other natural markings are permitted on either side.

Paint grade means that there will be patches, small holes, or splits on both faces, which we will putty and smooth out. You should be able to prime and paint these.
