Framed sign kits are ideal for preassembling the frame and then adding the backer at a later time.
- The frame is 1″ wide by 3/4″ thick (sometimes 13/16″ thick).
- Dado is 3/8″ x 3/8″.
- The outside dimension is 12 1/2″ x 12 1/2″.
- Comes in 5 pieces. Four frame parts and the backer.
- Backer available in 1/4″ MDF, 1/4″ natural birch, or 1/8″ baltic birch.
You can make the backer removable by using points and a point driver. These are standard tools used in the picture-framing industry.
